Biscom is a player in the crowded EFSS space, competing against much bigger companies like Box and Dropbox. With limited customer references, the company struggled to grow its PR program beyond company news, which generated limited interest.
If we tracked breaking “security” stories and offered Biscom for quick commentary, we would be able to significantly increase the size of the company’s media opportunity and build a much larger database of press contacts to keep Biscom’s name and links in the media.
Kickstand set up extensive daily news monitoring around security breaches and hacking events, and regularly pitched Biscom’s CEO to comment on the breaking news. Success was measured based on quantity of coverage, quality of links and the ability to drive new, inbound media opportunities.
Since launch, the company has consistently exceeded goals. In addition to driving consistent coverage and SEO links across top tier tech and business publications, it provides the ongoing opportunity to talk to media directly relevant to Biscom’s healthcare and financial services buyers.
